What do I actually get?
50% of net revenue — the money we receive, less payment processing, refunds, tax and any legal costs of defending your clip. A single sale pays you at most $1,000. A clip that gets picked up widely earns from many sales, not one big one.
When do I get paid?
Within 15 days of the end of each month, once your balance reaches $75. Below that it rolls over. If it is still below the threshold after 24 months we pay it out anyway — we do not keep small balances.
Exclusive — what does that stop me doing?
While the agreement is running you cannot license, sell or monetise the same clip anywhere else. You can keep it up on your own accounts where you already posted it, as long as you told us about those posts on the form.
Can I get out of it?
Ask us in writing after 24 months and we stop offering it. Licences already sold stay valid — a broadcaster who paid for it does not lose their rights because you changed your mind. Money already earned is still paid.
I filmed it on my phone and posted it on TikTok first. Still worth sending?
Yes — most of what we license was posted somewhere first. Send the original file off the phone, not a re-download from TikTok: the original is sharper, has clean audio, and is worth several times more.
Someone else is in the video. Is that a problem?
If they are recognisable and they agreed to be filmed, no. If they did not agree, tell us on the form — we can often still license it for news use, but not for advertising.
Why was mine rejected?
Usually one of: rights are unclear, it is already all over the internet from other sources, the quality is too low to sell, or there is nothing in it a buyer would pay for. We say which one in the email.
For buyers
What am I buying?
A cleared, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use the clip in the ways your licence tier allows, plus the master file at full resolution and a certificate with a code your legal team can verify.
Is it really cleared?
Every clip is submitted by the person who filmed it, under an exclusive agreement, and reviewed by hand before it goes in the catalogue. We ask about people in frame, prior posts and prior deals up front.
Can I edit it?
Yes — cut it, caption it, colour it. What you may not do is alter it so it misrepresents what happened.
